Responsibilities

Support daily operations by responding to tactical issues in a shop floor environment
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) process on the shop floor – improving and implementing departmental Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery, Ergonomic, & Cost reduction projects
Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
Assist in investigations and corrective actions and leverage innovative ideas to best address long standing manufacturing issues

Required

Pursuing a degree in Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, others may apply
Registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university
Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours/weekly
Must be able to commute to the work location in Davenport, Iowa on a daily basis year-round
An effective communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
Experience demonstrating technical aptitude in an Engineering discipline
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, mistake proofing or digital process control tools
A self-starter with the ability to execute multiple tasks in parallel
Ability to gather, analyze, and summarize trend data to make sound decisions

Preferred

Demonstrable mechanical aptitude or familiarity and ability work within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models and /or geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Experience with software programming languages and/or ML familiarity
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: electrical, software programming, troubleshooting, design, and manufacturing
Manufacturing Factory hands on experience
SAP experience
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong communication skills with experience solving technical problems
