Responsibilities
Interpret console messages from system software and application programs and perform required action
Observe ongoing operations and analyzes performance to identify problems and inform appropriate personnel
Operate peripheral devices and computer support devices
Maintain knowledge about the operating characteristics, maintenance requirements of peripheral devices, computer operating procedures and standards
Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request
Qualification
Required
A high school education
Computer operator education or related job experience
Ability to understand and follow complex verbal or written programs
Must be willing to work an assigned shift
Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Preferred
Working knowledge of computer operations and operating environment for applications programs and operating software
