They are seeking an Associate for their Fixed Income Secured Lending Real Estate teams in Credit Risk to conduct valuation due diligence on real estate loans and monitor market activity related to collateral loans.

Responsibilities

Administer the collateral loan appraisal review process and in consultation with the Team Lead opine on the reliability of the appraisal by ensuring assumptions are supported and reasonable
Ensure compliance of the collateral loan appraisal with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), FIRREA, and internal policies
Determine if market values have become challenged and make recommendations to the Global Head of Credit for FSL regarding updating valuations for underlying properties
Develop processes and procedures to create efficiencies and improvements to monitor market activity
Manage vendor relationships as a part of the review process
Develop forms and tools to streamline processes and create efficiencies in managing appraisal review process for complete underwriting review
Assists with the review of internal procedures and makes recommendations to the Team Lead

Qualification

Required

3-5+ years of real estate valuation experience in at least one of the following: commercial real estate, data centers or residential real estate
Experience with valuations and markets in the US
Ability to build internal valuation and due diligence tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time-management skills

Preferred

State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license, MAI, AI-GRS or RICs preferred
Experience/knowledge of Western European and Asian (specifically Australia) markets is beneficial but not required
