Staff Integration Engineer, Systems Test and Integration
Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture focused on advancing automotive technology for electric vehicles. The Staff Integration Engineer will lead the integration of body controls and mobile applications for next-generation VW electric vehicles, ensuring functionality and performance through hands-on testing and collaboration with various engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Lead vehicle level integration activities for user facing features such as Body Controls, Mobile App, and user modes on VW vehicles
Develop and execute vehicle integration plans related to vehicle features while keeping track of overall program milestones and delivery objectives
Perform hands on testing of new features, requirement implementations, and bug fixes
Think outside the box to identify feature vulnerabilities and improve robustness
Identify, document and highlight cross-functional gaps and dependencies
Proactively work towards creative solutions to resolve integration issues and ensure vehicle functionality
Deep-dive into vehicle log data and source code if required to root-cause system-level issues and facilitate rapid issue resolution in collaboration with domain experts
Support systems engineering activities including interface definition, development and functional testing in coordination with various vehicle-level systems
Develop and execute test plans and automation for functional verification
Perform analysis of vehicle data to develop insightful KPIs to verify the performance, requirements, and safety of features
Qualification
Required
B.S.+ in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of dependencies between various electrical & mechanical systems
Experience with systems engineering / automotive network architecture / vehicle integration
Strong working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and relevant debug tools
Hands-on experience debugging complex systems that involve multiple ECUs with interfaces to various vehicle sub-systems
Strong understanding of vehicle safety concepts and testing-related safety procedures
Flexibility to travel domestically/internationally (up to 25%)
