Responsibilities

Assist the Property Technician with the daily maintenance and improvement of State Wildlife Areas in Jackson County
Primary duties will include but are not limited to: noxious weed control; facility and equipment maintenance; fence repair and construction; mandatory big game animal checks; operating and maintaining vehicles, trailers, weed spraying equipment, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s), power tools, and chainsaws; handling animal carcasses; data recording and record keeping; as well as interacting with and answering questions from hunters and anglers
This position will also assist District Wildlife Managers, Biologists, and other Property Technicians with wildlife management related tasks

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a current & valid driver's license for operating a state vehicle
Must have experience working with a variety of hand and power tools
Must have vehicle/equipment/maintenance experience
Must have ability to hike long distances with a pack
Must have ability to accomplish physically demanding tasks
Must be willing and able to work outside which may involve inclement weather
Must possess a good attitude
Must possess enthusiasm for protecting Colorado's resources
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday
