Responsibilities

Lead conversations with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and strategic capital partners
Secure equity contributions that fund the lion’s share of project capital while retaining sponsor control
Frame minority ownership as participation, not authority
Filter out misaligned capital quickly and decisively
Identifying and engaging franchise-friendly lenders (SBA, conventional, hybrid)
Leading lender conversations and underwriting discussions
Presenting unit economics, capital stack, governance structure, and sponsor posture
Structuring debt at the project / asset level, not the parent company
Defining high-level debt terms including: leverage targets, amortization profile, collateral scope, covenant expectations, guarantee frameworks (entity-level, completion, or limited sponsor guarantees)
Design repeatable capital stacks combining debt and equity
Articulate why majority ownership is retained despite minority cash contribution
Position governance-led control as risk mitigation for lenders and investors
Collaborate closely with internal legal and finance teams without performing legal drafting or entity formation
Collaborate with other capitalization partners across the subsidiary network
Coordinate, as needed, with Community and HQ buildout capitalization partners
Ensure consistency in posture, messaging, and capital philosophy across initiatives
Contribute to shared institutional knowledge and best practices
Partner closely with: CEO — strategy, posture, partner alignment; CFO — financial models, DSCR, lender requirements; Legal — documentation, guarantees, approvals; Franchise Operations — timelines, unit economics, execution readiness
Serve as internal steward of capital philosophy across franchise initiatives
Represent the Company with clarity, confidence, and authority in all capital interactions
Establish a reputation for discipline, seriousness, and repeatability
Ensure all external parties understand: control is not negotiable, capital alignment is intentional, this is a long-term platform, not a one-off deal

Required

10+ years experience in one or more of: Franchise investment and development, Hospitality or QSR capital structuring, Real-estate-backed operating companies, Sponsor-led platforms using both debt and equity, Direct experience securing project-level debt, Demonstrated success raising capital without offering control, Comfort with asymmetric capital contributions, Experience interfacing with lenders, credit committees, and sophisticated investors
Secure debt for first-unit or early-platform franchise assets
Frame minority equity as a feature, not a compromise
Defend majority sponsor ownership without defensiveness
Speak fluently about leverage, DSCR, governance, and risk
Say 'no' early when alignment is not present
Calm, confident, and unflappable in capital and lender conversations
Comfortable holding authority without theatrics
Disciplined, precise, and internally aligned
Understands that capital follows clarity
Treats debt as a tool, not a liability

Compensation structure will evolve intentionally as the franchise platform transitions from initial build to scaled operations
