Responsibilities
Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, and reconciliations
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax partners
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and regulatory compliance
Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to leadership
Stay current on accounting standards and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience leading close processes and audits
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
Preferred
CPA or CMA
Healthcare or regulated-industry experience
Experience with ERP implementations or system optimization
