Research Technician II - Chung Lab

Responsibilities
Perform laboratory techniques, procedures and technical lab duties required for experimental studies
Schedule and perform various analyses
Assist with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses
Prepare reagents, purify chemicals, and identify, separate and quantify various substances
Conduct testing and procedures utilizing laboratory equipment/instrumentation and accumulate data from analyses
Prepare charts, graphs, statistical tables, publications, grant proposals and applications for research forms
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR Associate's Degree in a laboratory science field and one year of work experience OR Bachelor's Degree
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to distinguish color
Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc
Preferred
Comfortable handing small animals
Experience in cell cultures
