Lead Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities

Support supervisor in mentoring/ training new BCBAs/BCs including competency checklist
Support new hire orientation
Reduced caseload based on the number of supervisee/mentees/clinic census
Support clinic activities as assigned by supervisor
Conduct initial and follow-up behavior assessments with patients
Provide consultation and training to parents, school personnel, and therapeutic support staff
Write initial behavior assessment reports and treatment plans in compliance with BACB, insurance, and organization standards
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop and implement behavior intervention plans
Participate in Child Study Team Evaluations
Provide contracted school consultation and program development
Develop ABA therapy programs (including materials), monitor programs, and ensure effectiveness
Prepare 3-month/6-month concurrent treatment plans in compliance with insurance standards (includes comprehensive data analysis, report writing, program updates, and administration/scoring ABAS)
Provide field supervision of Registered Behavior technicians/behavior health technicians in accordance with BACB standards onsite, in homes, and in schools
Conduct community training programs
Complete ongoing training requirements as required, 24 hours within the first 3 months of hire prior to the first case assignment and 24 hours of related training each year
Submit annual authorization reports, clinical updates, and crisis plans
Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain client caseload and strive to provide services aligned with authorized hours
Work to conduct direct BHT hours supporting clients without staff if clinically appropriate and when below weekly billable hours expectation

Required

Master's Degree in ABA or related field
Board certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA, BCBA-D)
Behavior Specialist/BCBA License for assigned state(s)
1+ years of professional experience as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working with clients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting
Fluent conducting ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland and QABF, MAS, FAST and Functional Behavior Assessments
Maintain CEU requirement and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic certification Board (BACB)
Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code
Strong written and oral communication along with strong interpersonal skills
Complete competency checklist
Knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit individuals with autism spectrum disorder, including familiarity with current related research findings
Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to the policies
Knowledge of IBHS and managed care organization regulations and requirements
Knowledge of BACB ethics codes
Ability to apply BACB ethics codes while maintaining integrity and promoting best practices
Ability to drive and lead practices while adhering to requirements of the state and manage care organizations
Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain healthy, productive working relationships
Ability to conduct FBAs and design behavior intervention plans based on the results
Ability to train new behavior technicians and family members regarding client treatment plans
Ability to use various assessment tools, including VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS experience designing and implementing treatment plans and recommendations based on results in the initial assessment
Ability to lead supervision/meetings
Ability to have difficult conversations and solve problems
