Conduct independent and collaborative research in optimization methods for power system operations and planning
Develop and analyze optimization models for power system operations and electricity markets
Conduct research in nonlinear, convex, and mixed-integer nonlinear optimization
Design and implement advanced computational and algorithmic solutions
Perform computational experiments and benchmarking studies
Prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and conferences
Collaborate with faculty members, graduate students, and external research partners
Contribute to research proposals and support interdisciplinary research activities within the department
Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed
