The Admitting Clerk will be responsible for the efficient admission of patients, collecting necessary information, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Responsible for obtaining all pertinent information including demographic and insurance information
Responsible for ensuring that all admissions forms are complete and accurate, spelling is correct. Applies patient labels to all necessary forms
Provides information to the patient/representative about billing, complaint process, patient rights, HIPAA and visiting hours
Responsible, when previous arrangements have been made or a co-payment is required, to collect such payments, record payment and forward to the business office personnel
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Excellent customer services skills
Preferred
Additional languages preferred
