Hyatt Regency Coral Gables is committed to providing efficient service and meaningful experiences to their guests. The Group Sales Manager is responsible for selling guest rooms and meeting space, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections while working closely with the sales and catering staff to generate business and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups
Managing accounts
Conducting site inspections
Soliciting and generating business
Preparing and presenting effective proposals
Maintaining well organized documentation and reports
Utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate
Participating and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings
Working as a team member with the sales and catering staff
Staying in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff

Required

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

Preferred

A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
