Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to a wide range of entry-level to highly experienced engineers through all phases of the test software development lifecycle including requirements capture, design and dry coding, integrating with hardware and software components, software validation and verification
Help develop and implement new and improved processes for the software engineering discipline within Avionics Test Engineering

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
Experience in writing software requirements, software design and implementation, functional and integration testing, writing test cases and test procedures, and software delivery support
Experience with ARINC standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 664 and ARINC 661
C# programming experience

Preferred

Proficiency with modern software development best practices and configuration management tools
Demonstrated ability to lead a team through the full software development cycle in a regulated industry, preferably with experience in avionics software projects
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
Ability to identify complex problems using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve complex issues and mitigate risks
