Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & AI Development
Architect AI Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI/ML models (e.g., NLP, LLMs, computer vision, recommendation systems) that drive business efficiency
Software Development: Oversee the integration of ML models into software applications, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
Model Lifecycle Management: Define and enforce practices for data engineering, model versioning, testing, and continuous retraining
Application Operations Management (MLOps/DevOps)
Infrastructure & Deployment: Build and maintain scalable, reliable ML infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
Monitoring & Reliability: Implement end-to-end observability (latency, drift, failures) for deployed models, utilizing tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana
Automation: Create self-healing workflows and automated pipelines for training and deployment to reduce operational toil
Team Leadership & Strategy
Mentorship: Mentor, coach, and grow a team of MLOps engineers, data scientists, and software developers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture
Project Management: Drive Agile/Scrum development, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and ensuring on-time delivery
Collaboration: Act as the liaison between data scientists, DevOps, and product stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment
Governance & Security
AI Ethics & Compliance: Ensure AI/ML systems adhere to data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PI/PII)
Cost Management: Optimize cloud infrastructure and GPU utilization to maintain cost-efficient operations
Qualification
Required
Must have at least 8 years of experience in technical leadership roles
TS/SCI with Poly
Must be available for worldwide assignment based on mission needs at government-specified locations, including CCMD environments

Advanced degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred
