Production (Worker) Technician I
Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems (CWBS) provides aircraft braking systems and key components for various aviation markets. The Production (Worker) Technician I is responsible for supporting manufacturing activities, maintaining inventory, ensuring quality production, and training team members.

Responsibilities
Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing proper safety equipment and following procedures. Proactively identify and take corrective action to eliminate unsafe behaviors and conditions
Pull parts for assembly cells. Maintain the stock room inventory and shelves
Maintain established production rates at expected quality level
Keep work areas clean and organized for self and others daily. Maintain a foreign object damage-free work area
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
Must demonstrate effective reasoning ability when dealing with internal customers
Train, share knowledge and assist other team members
Remove burrs, sharp edges and tooling marks or other irregularities from machined parts on castings
Maintain and operate wash tank system to ensure proper concentration levels including daily titration tests. Clean surface of parts free of dirt, oil and media. Properly prepare parts for Paint Department
Strip and clean improperly finished parts
Basic blueprint reading skills
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
Inspect work-in process and finished parts for conformance to all specifications and ensure proper documentation
Basic PC knowledge
Perform other duties as required, including training others and demonstrate initiative in continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for this position
Minimum of 1 year experience in a machine shop environment
Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, written and verbal instructions
Applied Math: Intermediate-level skills or demonstrated ability (Add, subtract, units of measure, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals)
Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting related forms and specifications
Physical demand: Lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
