Lead, Merchandise Operations - Universal Kids Resort

Responsibilities

Ensure merchandise presentation standards are followed and monitor inventory levels. Handle the receiving of merchandise deliveries, ensure proper stockroom utilization, and stocking of the sales floor. Support accurate completion of the inventory process. Partner with leadership to drive business and execute divisional initiatives
Responsible for the consistent execution of world class Guest service, operational standards and motivating Team Members. Conduct daily shift meetings, engage in safety spot talks, and documents Team Member performance. Aid in the dissemination of general company and venue or area specific forms of communication. Effectively applies the UDX service model to satisfy and resolve the needs of the Guests and the Team Members. Monitors and reports deficiencies in show and facility quality. Maintains standards of cleanliness
First point of contact for Team Members. Perform on-the-job training for new Team Members, working closely with Management to ensure that Team Members have successfully completed their training plan. Monitor trainees throughout their onboarding and training to ensure operational proficiency. Meet with Team Members to review their training progress, addresses concerns, document training related issues, and ensure Team Member readiness for job responsibilities
Perform all administrative duties related to the daily opening and closing of venues. Ensure daily staffing levels and rotation schedules are adjusted according to park attendance. Maintain daily reports, overtime reports, and safety checklists. Maintain operating supplies, review timekeeping to ensure that time is properly entered based on job code and functional area. Approve daily scheduling request changes
Assists with projects, initiatives and sustainment efforts as directed
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Consistent attendance is a job requirement

Preferred

6+ months of leadership experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
