Data Lead - Magellan MedSurg
Boston Scientific is a leader in medical science, and they are seeking a Data Lead for the Magellan MedSurg team. This role is critical in managing commercial data assets, supporting data migration and transformation activities, and implementing data governance practices to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities
Define and maintain a comprehensive catalog of business metadata across systems, ensuring clear and consistent definitions
Represent MedSurg business users and stakeholders in the design, development, and implementation of the new platform, supporting requirement gathering, user story creation, acceptance criteria defining, and quality assurance
Collaborate with IT and MedSurg Business owners to support data migration and data cleansing activities in alignment with the new system
Collaborate with the Change Enablement team and Site Leads/BPLs/SMEs to develop training plans and content for key functionality
Identify and assign data ownership and stewardship; drive cross-functional resolution of ownership conflicts; promote accountability
Partner with Magellan, IT, and MedSurg stakeholders in the design, development, and enforcement of enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards
Monitor and improve data quality metrics through root cause analysis, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable
Prepare and present data governance reports and updates to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, or related field
Working knowledge of ERP, CRM, and the broader application ecosystem and interfaces, combined with knowledge of key business processes
Experience in data management, data quality, or related domains, with a solid understanding of data governance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage stakeholders across all levels
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated success in project management
Proven track record of continuous improvement, system upgrades/enhancements, proactive problem solving
Self-starter with a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, and culturally diverse environment
Good listening and communication skills, with ability to transfer knowledge efficiently
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives effectively
High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
Preferred
Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
Technical/functional/operational experiences with Customer to Cash processes in medical device field
Previous experience of a major program introduction/upgrade, ideally within an IT/Systems or Business Representative role
Experience working with data quality tools, databases, and associated technologies
Familiarity with global data protection regulations such as GDPR

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
