InternGeneral Biological is a pioneering industrial chemical and hardware manufacturing company focused on developing scalable biomanufacturing technologies. They are seeking an innovative data science intern to drive the development and visualization of control systems for next-generation bioreactor systems, requiring a strong background in data visualization and SQL.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and test an Ignition Data View that combines current bioreactor metrics and off-line measurements
Build a data visualization tool that will allow for analysis between R&D metrics and productions metrics
Integrate live trends with projections that are driven off of past historical data
Combine and report errors and faults and alarms in our automation systems to inform where we can increase reliability and testing
Continuously identify and implement cutting-edge strategies to enhance bioreactor efficiency, reduce production costs, and improve technology
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in data science or a related field with relevant industry experience
Hands on experience with at least one of the specific disciplines mentioned and interest in learning the other areas you are not yet strong in
Strong skills in building and testing prototypes or personal projects
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet aggressive timelines
Preferred
Knowledge of process control systems design and automation
Practical industrial site experience with pilot scale and larger fermentation or chemical processing equipment
