Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of RF/microwave technicians and assemblers responsible for tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of microwave components from 20 MHz to 40 GHz, including filters, mixers, switches, diplexers, multiplexers, filter-LNAs, amplifiers, and integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs)
Oversee RF, microwave, and environmental testing including thermal, shock, vibration, and environmental stress testing, as well as passive and active RF/microwave assembly operations
Ensure proper execution of troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving of moderate to complex test and performance issues
Ensure correct and safe use of laboratory and production test equipment including network analyzers, signal analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, function generators, high-power amplifiers, noise meters, power meters, multimeters, bus analyzers, and logic analyzers, as well as precision assembly and wire bonding equipment
Enforce adherence to cleanroom protocols, ESD controls, safety procedures, and company policies
Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and workflow to meet output, quality, and delivery targets. Track, manage and drive improvement in KPIs (key performance indicators)
Review test data, RF performance results, SPC charts, and work-in-process to identify trends, issues, and corrective actions
Collaborate with Process Engineering, RF Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve equipment, process, yield, or test-related issues
Conduct employee training, cross-training, performance evaluations, and technical coaching
Support root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
Maintain accurate documentation, travelers, test reports, shift reports, and compliance records
Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits (ISO, AS9100, MIL-STD, or equivalent)
Enforce proper use and care of tools, RF test equipment, and materials

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, RF/Microwave Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in RF/microwave, microelectronics, or electronics manufacturing, test, and assembly environments
1–3 years of prior leadership or supervisory experience
Hands-on knowledge of RF/microwave tuning, testing, and troubleshooting from 20 MHz to 40 GHz
Experience supervising passive and active RF/microwave assembly operations including wire bonding, wedge-wedge bonding, and ball bonding
Working knowledge of microwave components and assemblies including IMAs, filters, LNAs, amplifiers, mixers, switches, diplexers, and multiplexers
Experience performing and overseeing environmental testing (thermal, shock, vibration)
Strong understanding of ESD, contamination control, and cleanroom requirements
Ability to read and interpret RF test procedures, assembly travelers, drawings, schematics, and specifications
Proficiency with MS Office and manufacturing systems (MES/ERP)

Preferred

Experience supervising and managing Union hourly employees
Experience supervising in a regulated environment (ISO, AS9100, MIL-STD, or similar)
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Experience with shift-based or high-mix/low-volume production
