Responsibilities
Assemble and integrate PCBAs, electronic modules, and full electronic subsystems
Perform advanced soldering, PCBA population, rework, and modification beyond basic repair
Build and integrate power systems, batteries, regulators, and distribution boards
Fabricate and integrate wiring harnesses and electronic assemblies into vehicles
Support the assembly and test of electromechanical assemblies as a system, not confined to electronics only
Power up, bring up, and validate new electronic assemblies across hardware and software tool interfaces
Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and power supplies to debug issues
Support RF, sensor, and communication system bring-up and validation as needed
Troubleshoot electronics at board, subsystem, and system level
Build first articles and prototypes directly from early electrical designs
Support transition from prototype to production by refining build methods
Create and improve electronics assembly, test, and bring-up procedures
Support the creation of test fixtures for PCBAs and other subassemblies
Develop clear work instructions for electronics assembly and test
Maintain traceability for electronic builds and test results
Provide feedback to engineers on design-for-assembly and design-for-test
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, integration team, and field operators
Serve as the primary hands-on electronics builder so designers can focus on architecture and design
Support integration, test, and field teams when electronics issues arise
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years building and testing real electronic hardware in robotics, aerospace, marine, medical, or industrial systems
