Responsibilities
Lead and develop high-quality controls algorithms and solutions
Contribute in areas such as classical and modern control systems, energy management and charging systems, vehicle controls, data science-based controls techniques, electrified propulsion or engine controls, utilization of sensors in feedback and feedforward control strategies, integrated propulsion control, propulsion optimization strategies, auxiliary load management and optimization, thermal characterization and thermal management, energy efficiency and performance optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Applied Science, Control System, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 8 years of experience in controls, calibration, or systems engineering
Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
Demonstrated technical problem-solving
Experience in electrified propulsion systems or control theory
Experience with automotive powertrain plant and controller modeling, simulation
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated application of technical excellence
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related Engineering field from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent program
Understanding of classical and modern control disciplines with vehicle application
EV/Propulsion system calibration and/or embedded software experience
Experience with data analysis tools such as ASCMO, MDA
Experience with modeling tools such as GT Power, AmeSim, or other controls related co-simulation
Experience with prototyping tools from dSpace or ETAS
Experience in Research organization
