InternSIG SAUER, Inc. is a leading provider and manufacturer of firearms and related products. They are seeking an Intern Toolmaker to assist in making jigs, fixtures, and repairs, as well as operating toolroom equipment and ensuring quality products through inspection reports.

Responsibilities
Making jigs, fixtures, gages, cutter grinding, and occasional production work to help achieve company goals
Making repairs and modifying existing machinery, fixtures and gages as needed
Operate all toolroom equipment including milling machines, lathes and surface grinders
Read & interpret blueprints
Use of precision measurement equipment
Taking a project or assigned job and completing it in a timely manner while communicating with the designers and engineers to solve any related issues to keep production running
Responsible for inspection reports to ensure quality products
CNC programming using MasterCam and GibbsCam
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD system
Good working knowledge of materials and heat-treating processes
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Must be organized, able to work in a team, plan, and execute multiple projects
Written and verbal communication of complicated subjects is required
Must be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Must have strong analytical skills, basic manufacturing process knowledge, and basic project management skills
