Responsibilities

Advise on payer contracting strategy and negotiations with commercial insurers
Review and optimize current payer relations and revenue cycle workflows including eligibility verification and payment posting
Provide guidance on billing compliance and coding optimization for telehealth services
Support development of claims management processes and denial reduction strategies
Advise on reimbursement strategies across multiple payer types and state regulations
Guide insurance product development and go-to-market strategy for new coverage offerings
Provide strategic recommendations on payer mix optimization and network expansion

Required

5+ years experience in healthcare payer relations, insurance operations, and revenue cycle management, ideally specific to telehealth
Deep expertise in medical billing, coding, and reimbursement for commercial payers
Proven track record negotiating payer contracts and managing payer relationships
Strong understanding of telehealth billing regulations and compliance requirements
Experience with claims processing, denial management, and appeals
Experience with CMS regulations, Medicare billing requirements, and federal reimbursement programs

Preferred

Experience with revenue cycle management platforms such as Candid Health or similar billing automation tools
Familiarity with clearinghouse operations and payer connectivity platforms like Availity
