Responsibilities

Develop, implement, manage and continuously improve a robust global compliance program aligned with applicable laws, regulations and industry best practices (e.g., FCPA, Anti-Kickback Statute, UK Bribery Act, GDPR, global sanctions lists, etc.)
Prepare risk assessments to identify and prioritize compliance risks across markets and business units
Establish and work with the Quality Department to maintain global compliance policies, procedures, systems, and training programs to ensure consistency across business lines and geographical regions
Design and implement compliance monitoring and internal auditing programs to assess program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
Track and report key compliance metrics and program updates to the Chief Legal Officer, the Compliance Committee, and/or the Board of Directors
Ensure timely investigation, remediation, and documentation of potential compliance violations, including reports submitted through the Compliance Hotline and/or the Compliance Inbox
Develop and deliver global compliance training programs tailored to various employee levels and functions. Cultivate clear, values‑driven leadership from the top and promote a culture of 'We Do the Right Thing'
Partner with HR, Finance, IS, Legal, Quality, Data Privacy, Marketing and Communications to reinforce compliance values throughout the organization
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on compliance matters related to clinical project management, commercial operations, vendor management, medical affairs, business development and outreach, and home healthcare services
Provide compliance guidance to healthcare professionals, principal investigators, regulatory and quality professionals
Develop and monitor due diligence and monitoring processes for U.S. and global vendors, suppliers, agents, contractors and consultants
Implement consistent employee and third-party compliance standards globally
Conduct investigations of reported compliance concerns; ensure proper escalation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
Manage whistleblowing hotline processes and ensure reporting mechanisms are effective and confidential
Work with the Company’s data privacy and data security experts to address compliance matters related to HIPAA and other data processing activities
Prepare and respond to various audits, compliance questions, or stakeholder requests from senior leadership and/or other stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent work experience)
7+ years of demonstrated compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with a healthcare and/or life sciences company
Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry best practices
Experience implementing an effective compliance program across different business lines
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience briefing senior executives and boards
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex compliance regulations into practical business processes
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functional and cultural boundaries
Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, project management, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proven experience managing multiple high priority projects and assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in handling and implementing change
High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to apply prior knowledge to new situations
Passionate about digging into a problem and figuring it out

Preferred

Compliance certifications in the healthcare industry a plus
Prior experience implementing a compliance program for a company with government and commercial payor sources is preferred
Prior experience implementing cross-border compliance programs is preferred
