Responsibilities
Assist the Controller in managing daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory, reconciliations, and month-end close
Prepare, review, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including plant-level P&L statements
Support monthly financial statement processing, budgeting, forecasting, and participation in weekly forecast meetings
Post and review journal entries and verify general ledger accuracy
Provide support to the accounting specialist and collaborate with staff across sales, customer service, shipping, and operations to ensure timely payments, invoicing accuracy, and resolution of customer credit memos
Oversee month-end inventory reconciliations and support operations with corrections when needed
Provide guidance and training to accounting and plant staff to ensure alignment with financial processes
Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with both plant teams and the corporate office to maintain alignment and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Strong communicator who is comfortable working across teams and in a plant environment
Ethical, dependable, and motivated to continuously learn and grow
Preferred
SAP proficiency preferred
