Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for installations, be able to plan future installations, and prepare for upcoming tasking
Conduct the WAF and tag-out/lockout process
Understand 9090-310 requirements, documentation, and processes needed for successful navigation of RMMCO check-in and installation completion
Have a thorough understanding of the installation POA&M, including all critical paths, milestones, and resources. This will require a knowledge of the Microsoft Project software and an advanced knowledge of the installation task from kitting to RMMCO closeout
Be responsible for reporting. Regular reporting is essential to identifying problems before they become a major hindrance
Ensure that, through leadership and advanced knowledge of all aspects of the job, the team completes all tasking on time
Keep safety of personnel, Ship's Force, and equipment at the highest priority, and does not allow production or outside influence to compromise safety
Expected to oversee, on a “deck plate” level, the performance, and contributions of assigned subcontractors as they complete tasking related to the installation. Feedback to the project engineer and other leadership is required and expected
Observe and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures applicable to installation work. Mentor all team members on safety and ensure all team members comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures through training assigned personnel
Qualification
Required
BS degree or equivalent experience required; less than two (2) years of relevant prior experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Advanced expertise in cable continuity and megger testing, performed independently
Skilled in cable cutting, end preparation, and installation in alignment with technical documentation
Extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of cable and cableway systems in field environments
Skilled in cable cutting, end preparation, and installation in alignment with technical documentation
Extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of cable and cableway systems in field environments
Proficient in planning cable runs and overseeing installation activities
Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical installation and red-line drawings
Thorough understanding of Safety Lock-out/Tag-out programs
Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting comprehensive reports via email
Proven leadership in managing teams, including sub-contractors and daily task assignments
Experience updating POA&Ms using Microsoft Project
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to travel up to 75%
