Vertical Social Content Producer (One-Year Contract)

Responsibilities
Lead U.S. Soccer’s vertical content creation efforts on Snapchat, from concept through publishing
Produce, shoot, and edit vertical-first content for Snapchat and other vertical social platforms
Capture live moments at matches, training sessions, fan events, and announcements with platform-specific vertical storytelling
Collaborate closely with the Social Media team to align vertical content with broader platform strategies and campaigns
Partner with the Content and Video teams to adapt existing footage, photography, and storytelling into vertical-first formats
Ideate and execute Snapchat-native creative concepts and storytelling
Leverage performance data, analytics and platform insights to optimize content and refine best practices
Ensure all content adheres to U.S. Soccer’s brand standards, tone, and visual identity
Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and innovations in vertical and social-first content creation
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of experience producing social media content, with a strong emphasis on vertical-first platforms
Demonstrated experience creating for Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar vertical platforms
Proficient in video editing (Slate, or equivalent mobile-first tools)
Ability to shoot, edit, and publish quickly in live-event and fast-paced environments
Strong creative instincts and understanding of platform-specific storytelling
Ability to manage multiple short-term deliverables alongside long-term ongoing creative projects
Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
General knowledge of soccer
Must be able to connect 'micro' details to the 'macro' vision and mission
Willingness to travel to matches, training camps, and events as needed
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
Preferred
Experience covering sports, entertainment, or live events
Familiarity with Snapchat tools and formats
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop)
Familiarity with soccer culture and terminology
Spanish-language proficiency is a plus
