Responsibilities
Learn to conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with state laws, regulations and policies
Perform entry level analytical skills to analyze and manipulate data sets to identify trends in financial and other data
Learn to organize written procedures, results, and conclusions for an audit report
Examine and tests ledgers, journals and other books of original entry for compliance with federal and/or state policies and regulations
Learns to prepare workpapers and accumulate documenting evidence in support of audit adjustments, recommendations and reports
Attend meetings and training sessions to develop and improve audit skills
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to learn and understand internal control processes
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Maintain a driver's license
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Preferred
Certification as Certified Public Accountant or as a Certified Internal Auditor will substitute for the required education
