Responsibilities
8+ years of software‐testing experience, including deep hands-on work in both manual and automated frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cucumber)
Proven track record building end-to-end test strategies for complex, front-to-back workflows
Hands-on experience with legacy mainframe systems: understanding how the mainframe processes data, designing and validating data-migration flows from mainframe to distributed tiers, and testing those migrations in the live mainframe environment
Collaboration– Strong influencer: comfortable partnering with Product, DevOps, Engineering and Operations to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
Skilled at balancing PODs individual priorities while maintaining a coherent, end-to-end test strategy across both distributed and mainframe platforms
Strategic & Analytical Mindset– Experience defining test roadmaps, metrics/KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation percentage) and continuously improving them
Skilled at risk-based testing: prioritizing what to test when timelines are tight and leveraging data to drive coverage decisions
Process & Tooling Savvy– Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, DevOps) to build automation into nightly/regression suites.– Expert in Playwright for UI automation and Insomnia for API testing
Familiarity with modern test management platforms (TestRail, qTest) and defect-tracking tools (JIRA)
Communication & Stakeholder Management– Exceptional verbal and written communicator able to translate technical test results into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
Proactive in surfacing risks early and driving cross-team alignment on scope, timelines and acceptance criteria
