Engineering Intern- Inverter - J0049470

Responsibilities
Ensure equipment specifications to produce products and align with regional requirements
Confirm that equipment is installed and meets required specifications
Ensure that equipment is safe to utilize for all associates
Confirm that all product requirements are met through online testing, including the verification (daily and validation)
Ensure the line is running according to standards and trouble shoot issues that arise
Design parts to improve operations and efficiency of the line
Write code for programs to help with safety and efficiency for the associate working the line
Assist other departments in setting up testing trials/experiments for customer/internal troubles, including countermeasure activity as needed
Develop and evaluate new Inverter product process and equipment: 40%
Support development of technology, resource and production requirements: 30%
Support new business opportunity evaluation: 20%
Support M/P equipment problems and develop solutions: 5%
Other Duties as Assigned to support Corporate Objectives: 5%
Qualification
Required
Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility. (Not a remote position)
Working on Engineering or Technical Degree or have been accepted into and planning on attending a post-secondary education facility for Engineering or Technical education
Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems
Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to exercise good judgment, be highly motivated and work independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
Maintains clean and orderly work environment
Interacts with various levels of associates in a professional manner
Preferred
Programming/coding experience
Work experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in electro/mechanical devices
Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors
Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc
Experience in electronics manufacturing
Project Management Software preferred (MS Project)
Experience in CAD ware ( AutoCad, or other)
