M&A Integrations Financial Controller

Responsibilities

Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Perform month-end close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements
Monitor trust and operating accounts to ensure reconciliation accuracy and proper posting
Design and implement internal controls, policies, and standardized workflows across acquired entities
Ensure consistency in reporting and accounting processes post-acquisition
Partner with finance, IT, legal, and operations teams to align integration timelines and deliverables
Serve as a key accounting contact for acquired agencies during transition periods
Prepare and review monthly financial reports
Analyze variances, trends, and key metrics, providing insights and recommendations
Train and mentor accounting staff involved in integration activities
Promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Monitor daily banking activity and oversee trust account reconciliations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting or controlling experience, preferably within M&A or multi-entity environments
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements
Experience with agency management or ERP systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or HawkSoft
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in fast-paced integration environments

Preferred

CPA preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
