Associate Level Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Installation)

The Boeing Company is a leading aerospace manufacturer, and they are seeking a highly motivated and highly technical Associate Level Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic Depot, Repair & Overhaul Engineering team in Mesa, Arizona. The role involves creating manufacturing plans, optimizing operational efficiency, and developing production methodologies while working closely with shop floor personnel.

Responsibilities

Create manufacturing plans/routings under Deport Repair & Overhaul (DRO) for the purposes of restoration of fielded hardware per approved manuals and repair documentation. This can include dis-assembly, part inspection (repair/re-use/replace), assembly, testing requirements, special process control, tooling procurement
Optimize operational efficiency through business proposals/presentations on continuous process improvements, cost savings, cost reduction initiatives, analysis reports and plans for business efficiencies
Daily usage of systems such as TeamCenter, SAP, Haystack, Microsoft office products and other industry tools for engineering duties
Work in a fast paced environment directly located within proximity of shop floor and daily interaction with personnel working on products
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems
Implements lean principles and technologies

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
Experience with the Vertical Lift Platforms (Cargo/Utility, Tiltrotor, and/or Attack)

Preferred

Experience working on Vertical Lift platforms
Experience working with the U.S. Army requirements
Experience with Depot Maintenance Work Requirements
Experience working in a Depot level Shop environment
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image
