Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and file sales and use tax returns in 40+ states
Maintain sales tax codes and ensure accurate tax application across transactions
Review invoices for proper sales and use tax treatment
Research and resolve sales tax discrepancies and notices
Support other tax functions as needed, including income tax-related work
Coordinate with third-party providers for outsourced income tax return preparation
Assist with operational accounting tasks such as data entry, check preparation, and general support
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of relevant tax and accounting experience
Strong background in multi-state sales and use tax
Willingness to support additional tax areas beyond sales tax
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Comfortable in a hands-on, operational environment
Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
