Manager, Student Financial Services
California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is seeking a Manager for Student Financial Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for various financial departments. Responsibilities
Responsibility for the management and oversight of Student Account Services and Cashiering departments operations and functions along with overseeing other service areas, as needed, including Disbursements, University Collections, and Federal Trust Student Aid Accounting
Involvement in the implementation of new functionality and upgrades related to the student and financial systems
Provides support to the office through additional duties and responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of related experience required (progressively responsible supervisory experience in fiscal management in a medium or large size accounting or higher education organization working in a highly automated financial operation)
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community
Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures
Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a 'vision of excellence.'
Preferred
Experience in higher education, PeopleSoft ERP, and Transact Campus Payments systems is preferred
A master's degree in accounting is highly desirable
