1+ years expFS is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join Southern States Cooperative, a multi-entity organization. The role involves supporting tax compliance through the preparation of tax filings, property tax returns, and assisting with audits and data analysis.
Farming
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly sales and use tax filings for multiple locations across various states
Complete property tax returns using fixed asset software
Process tax payments and assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
Support year-end patronage refunds and income tax provision calculations
Respond to operational requests, including sales tax exemption certificates
Assist with audits, technical research, and ad hoc tax projects
Use and support data analysis and reporting tools, including Microsoft Power BI
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
Ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
Preferred
1–2 years of tax or accounting experience
CPA or CPA-eligible
Experience with Power BI
