Human Resources Associate
Edlong Flavor Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Associate to provide day-to-day HR support, focusing on administrative processes to enhance a people-centric company culture. The role involves supporting engagement and retention efforts, managing HR functions, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities
Support and champion Edlong’s human resources policies and procedures, providing guidance and interpretation to team members to improve the effectiveness of the organization
Prepare communications, documentation, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process and new hire orientation, including entering all data into HR systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
Provide support on all stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, returns to office, leave management, and offboarding
Ensure that Edlong’s HRIS is the single source of truth for employee data and files, providing accurate data analytics and creating compelling reports to effectively manage all aspects of HR
Administer and manage various HR functions such as benefit and COBRA administration, recordkeeping, and open enrollment
Help support a healthy workplace culture where wellness and safety are a critical business priority
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, I-9 processes, FMLA, ADA, etc
Fulfill responsibilities associated with all parts of the unemployment process, including responding to claims
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, processing and documenting status and change updates accurately and timely
Prepare, process, and distribute employee paychecks, ensuring accuracy in calculations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate payroll records, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits
Generate and process payroll reports for Accounting and HR team. Assist in audits as needed by providing necessary documentation and information
Assist with planning, developing, and executing Edlong Corporation employee initiatives (i.e., trainings, educational sessions, etc.) and events to promote employee engagement and inclusivity
Contribute to Edlong’s HR team efforts, collaboration, and results by following Edlong’s guidelines, supporting departmental objectives, and aligning with the Corporate Mission, Vision, and Strategic goals
Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge base of Edlong personnel by sponsoring or attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks to stay up to date on current trends related to statistical techniques or any relevant applications
Execute other duties, as assigned
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field with an additional three years of HR or administrative experience with expertise in payroll, employee lifecycle/onboarding/offboarding
Strong organizational skills and outstanding attention to detail are necessary for managing HR records, processes, and payroll effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees and candidates
Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to read, write, and comprehend written, electronic, and spoken instructions, memos, and correspondence, and to communicate professionally in English both verbally by phone and electronically
Ability to perform, compute mathematical operations with a calculator, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graph form
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook)
Working knowledge of HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems (i.e., HiBob and Paylocity)
Preferred
Experience in benefits administration is considered advantageous
Bilingual capabilities with skills in Spanish preferred
Spanish language proficiency preferred
