Responsibilities
Review new loan files, initiate borrower contact, and request outstanding documentation
Order verifications such as income, assets, title, credit, and appraisals; review and analyze for accuracy
Calculate key financial metrics (LTV/CLTV, income) and update files and automated underwriting systems
Submit files to underwriting for review and communicate loan status to borrowers and transaction stakeholders
Collect and review documentation to satisfy conditions; update loan applications and systems for final submission
Manage a pipeline of loans, ensuring deadlines are met and exceptions are escalated
Collaborate with Mortgage Loan Officers, underwriters, and other team members to support complex files
Adhere to compliance policies, regulatory standards, and fraud prevention procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance—or equivalent work experience
3–5 years of experience in residential mortgage loan processing within a bank environment
Proficiency in FHA, VA, and conventional loan processing
Skilled in DU/DO, LP, and Encompass 360
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
Strong ability to process up to 30 mortgage loan files per month while maintaining accuracy and service standards
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with limited supervision
Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset, with the ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred
Bond program and GUS experience preferred
