Responsibilities
Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, process, and materials engineers to develop, refine, and document polymer-based fabrication processes
Design and execute process validation efforts using a full life-cycle approach to ensure production of high-quality, conforming parts
Lead the production of components using newly developed processes while meeting aggressive timelines and manufacturability goals
Specify, set up, and operate analytical and inspection equipment used in process development and quality verification
Support designers and engineers by identifying and resolving manufacturing constraints, tooling gaps, or process blockers
Contribute to establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), work-in-progress (WIP) documentation, and process control methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Composites, or a related technical discipline
Hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally within consumer electronics or electromechanical products
Experience scaling processes from research or prototype stages into pilot or volume manufacturing
Strong understanding of design for assembly and design for manufacturability principles
Ability to plan and execute process development activities, including design of experiments (DOE), parameter optimization, and quality control strategies
Preferred
Experience working with camera modules, PCBA-related processes, or complex electromechanical assemblies
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design/documentation tools
Laboratory experience using analytical equipment such as microscopes, X-ray systems, or optical inspection tools
Exposure to AR/VR devices or advanced consumer hardware is a plus
Prior experience in a senior or lead process engineering capacity
