Part-Time Social Media Assistant
Penn State University is seeking a motivated and creative undergraduate student for the position of Part-Time Social Media Assistant. The role involves assisting with content planning, creation, and posting for the organization’s Instagram account, as well as gathering analytics and creating reports.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Penn State Student Media Network on developing and executing the content strategy
Capture and edit photos to be used as Instagram Feed posts
Capture and edit short-form videos to be used as Instagram Reels
Write captions and design graphics as needed for posts
Collect data monthly and assist with analysis and reporting
Qualification
Required
Current Penn State employee or student must apply through Workday
Motivated and creative undergraduate student
Experience with photography and multimedia content
Availability during regular office hours and attendance at events, including evenings and weekends
Self-starter who enjoys interacting with students, faculty, and staff
Ability to collaborate on developing and executing content strategy
Ability to capture and edit photos for Instagram Feed posts
Ability to capture and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels
Ability to write captions and design graphics for posts
Ability to collect data monthly and assist with analysis and reporting
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
Preferred
Working knowledge of the Instagram platform
Experience with Canva and/or Adobe software
