Account Manager - Indiana / Kentucky

Happy Floors is the leading designer and supplier of decorative high quality self-branded hard surface products in the industry. They are seeking a motivated Account Manager to expand their account base, grow sales, and meet customer needs through developing and implementing territory action plans. The role involves significant travel and requires strong sales skills and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

Selling Happy Floors Hard Surface flooring
Increasing business and sales for existing accounts and developing new ones
Weekly travel throughout the territory (up to 4-5 days of overnight travel per month (can change based on territory)
Strong and proven ability to sell and close deals on displays, samples and inventory while balancing professional and timely service
Proven ability to foster meaningful, long-term business relationships
Identify and develop nontraditional opportunities for sales
Report to Regional Sales Manager (RSM), who will work closely with you to train and help you to achieve your goals
Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction
Possess in-depth product knowledge
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
CRM/ Repsly adoption to manage territory
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
Continuously improve through feedback

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Representative
Microsoft Office skills
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of the product to potential customers
Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people each day, build relationships/network
Excellent time-management skills
Entrepreneurial spirit
Motivated, proactive, and hardworking, with strong problem-solving, creative thinking and interpersonal skills
Confident and strong self-assuredness to succeed
Result-driven and can back strong, well-formed opinions with evidence
This position exercises independent judgment and makes decisions that impact the business

Preferred

Flooring industry background is preferred
Luxury brand and high-end home furnishing experience a plus
A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
Experience with CRM a plus
