Responsibilities
Perform engineering design on projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer
Prepare Traffic Signing, Striping & Pavement Marking design plans
Prepare MOT, TMP and Detour Plans for design projects
Perform traffic analysis, modeling, and timing optimization
Prepare traffic signal, signing, striping and electrical design plans
Perform data reduction and analysis
Prepare Intelligent Transportation Systems design plans
Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
Qualification
Required
BSCE or MS degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering program
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
0 to 3 years of design experience in the transportation field
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) (i.e. MicroStation, AutoCAD)
Familiarity with traffic analysis and design software (e.g., Synchro, HCS)
Internship experience in transportation engineering or related field
EIT certification or progress toward licensure
