Responsibilities
Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products (GPUs, CPUs, and/or APUs)
Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life
Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line
Collaborate with design, validation, and architecture teams for content coverage, test pattern development, validation, and debugging
Develop test program infrastructure incorporating latest Best-Known methods
Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Under supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role
Two (2) years of experience in scripting in Perl, Ruby, and Shell
Two (2) years of experience in Linux, Unix, or Windows OS environments
Two (2) years of experience in C, C++, or Python
One (1) year of experience in testing and debugging hardware
One (1) year of experience in Java or JavaScript
