They are seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose and repair electric powertrains and related systems for their all-electric travel trailer, while also developing service procedures and technical documentation.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric powertrains, battery systems, and related high and low voltage electrical components on Lightship RVs both in the workshop and out in the field at customer locations
Manage on-location service parts inventory
Travel when required to support customer vehicles
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with RV living systems including HVAC, plumbing, appliances, and interior/exterior components
Document all service work thoroughly, maintain detailed repair records, and provide clear communication to customers about vehicle status and needed repairs
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify recurring issues, suggest design improvements, and contribute to the development of service procedures and technical documentation
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as an automotive, RV, or heavy equipment technician with hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of electrical systems, including ability to read wiring diagrams, use multimeters, and diagnose electrical faults safely
Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to safely operate large vehicles - towing experience a plus!
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated experience providing an exceptional level of communication and care to customers
Must provide basic hand and power tools to perform standard automotive repairs
Preferred
Experience working with electric vehicles, hybrid systems, high-voltage battery systems, or electric powertrains (automotive, marine, or industrial)
ASE certifications, RV technician certifications, or electrical/electronics training or certification
Previous experience in a startup environment or working with pre-production or early-stage vehicles
Demonstrated experience creating processes and documentation
Familiarity with diagnostic software tools, CAN bus systems, and modern vehicle computer systems
