Responsibilities
Ensure the accuracy & reliability of accounting, tax returns, research & analysis
Participate in the development and support the company's strategic plans
Be the main point of contact with clients for federal, foreign, and state tax filings
Capable of bringing organization to several pipelines of incoming information
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Interview, train, and mentor inexperienced staff
Work directly with client leadership to drive the profitability of their organizations
The candidate will have potential to expand their role significantly over time as the firm continues to expand
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Licensed CPA in the state of Ohio is required
Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a tax department of a public accounting firm reviewing tax returns - non negotiable
3 years in a management/review role preferred
An interest in hands-on, collaborative approach to tax and business
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
Self-motivated and self-directed
Proven leadership skills
Ability to multitask and manage ongoing projects
Preferred
Experience with CCH Tax or Axcess is a plus
