Responsibilities

Develop and grow a team of highly capable and technically talented engineers

Elevate the work of the Waltham-based Insights team by marketing their accomplishments

Manage day-to-day technical work and ensure tasks stay on track

Create a culture of ownership and accountability, providing tools and guidance for success

Drive the team to quickly identify root causes of problems and prevent recurrence

Assist with development work and interactions with customers and support teams

Remove blockers and improve development processes within UX Engineering

Seek quality and architectural improvements within Insights

Influence product teams on defects, features, and enhancements

Rapidly gain in-depth knowledge of Insights and Reporting architecture

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent

2+ years of mentoring other engineers OR prior management experience

5+ years of deep technical experience with Pega products (Infinity or Launchpad)

Prior exposure to front-end and back-end technologies

Work experience with an object-oriented programming language

Experience with writing different types of test automation

Ability to quickly learn new technologies, languages and design patterns

Experience as a “change agent,” continuously improving processes and unblocking colleagues

Experience interacting with external customers or a software support team

Superior verbal and written skills, high attention to detail
