Responsibilities
Handling incoming and outgoing patient telephone calls
Setting up payment arrangements, managing disputes, and performing account follow-up
Applying negotiation strategies with empathy
Establishing and meeting deadlines to generate collection recoveries
Updating and verifying information required for legal actions, as needed
Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and multitasking skills
Maintaining HIPAA compliance
Performing other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years relevant experience
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Maintaining HIPAA compliance
Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and multitasking skills
Preferred
Prior Medical Office experience is preferred
Experience with Medical software and terminology a plus
