Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine
Jefferson City Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Internal Medicine department. The role involves admitting patients, assisting physicians, and performing clerical activities to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities
Admits patients to the clinic bay and assists the physician and/or nurse to provide physical care for the patient before, during, and after examinations and procedures
Performs routine clerical activities required for efficient operation of the ambulatory clinic
Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures
Appropriately utilizes facility communication and information systems and equipment
Strives for continuous quality improvement
Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence
Maintains high work ethic standards
Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
BCLS certification or obtain within 3 months of hire
Medical terminology
Basic computer skills
Completed JCMG's Pharmacology training
For administration of injectable medications, must have successfully completed 20 injections with an approved mentor and must complete JCMG competency testing and successful completion of return demonstration
Preferred
Some college
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) training program
Prefer previous experience as an MA in the ambulatory care setting
Prefer certified MA
