LEAD PLANNER
Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services is seeking a Lead Planner to support customer needs and LEAN initiatives. The role involves performing various analytical and clerical functions to ensure the effective operation of the Planning Department and Work Control Center, as well as preparing aircraft maintenance work packages.

Responsibilities
Serves as liaison between Pemco Planning and the planning departments of business partners/customers. Reports direct to the Planning Supervisor
Extracts and builds database information in support/creation of work packages for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Loads work packages as needed
Uses computer based tools and systems to build/create/publish reports in a timely and efficient manner. Disseminates information across all involved departments and sections
Controls and coordinates job cards prior to work packages being sent to production as needed
Uses work packages, specifications, technical data, job control cards, labor hour estimates, job descriptions, project categories, charge numbers, and material requirements needed to meet established schedules
Performs general clerical duties, to include setting up files, reproducing paperwork, and entering and collecting computerized data
Analyze customer(s) project schedule for special tooling, expertise or equipment
Gathers blueprints, maintenance manual references, and technical data to accompany job cards
Prepare and execute recommendations for departmental process improvement
Assists/supports Planner I and Planner II staff as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day to day operation, not determined at time of hire
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in aviation related field and/or work, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and programs
Ability to comprehend and utilize for aircraft maintenance planning purposes, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), Air Transport Association (ATA) chapters and codes and aircraft manufacturer and airline operator manuals
Preferred
Associates degree or higher
Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in aviation related field and/or work, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate and/or fifteen (15) years of aviation maintenance experience or greater
