Responsibilities
Assume primary coverage for sectors in the non-investment grade universe
Build and maintain views and recommendations for long and short investments across the risk spectrum, from high quality BB to stressed situations
Underwrite new issues and secondary ideas across loans, high yield and convertible bonds, both from a long and short perspective
Actively monitor investments and taking predictive approach to managing risk exposures
Perform ESG analysis and monitoring for portfolio companies; engage management teams on ESG related issues
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5+ years' experience covering leveraged loans and/or high yield
Preferred
7+ years' experience covering leveraged loans and/or high yield
Experience covering the gaming, lodging and/or leisure sectors
Mastery of Excel and Bloomberg
Strong critical thinking skills with deep understanding of business drivers and risks
Proactive and predictive approach to managing investment risk
Self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and multitask
Strong communication and writing skills; ability to clearly and succinctly articulate thesis and views
Accurate and strong attention to detail
