Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive, innovative education strategy for Biolage, Mizani, and Pureology, aligning with brand objectives and market needs to elevate professional stylist capabilities to drive brand loyalty
Challenge traditional education models by devising and implementing innovative, non-traditional approaches to deliver education to a broad stylist base effectively, compensating for the absence of a large field education team
Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of digital education initiatives, leveraging technology to create engaging, accessible, and scalable learning experiences that reach a vast audience of professional stylists efficiently
Oversee the creation of best-in-class educational content, including but not limited to in-person formats, online modules, virtual workshops, video tutorials, ensuring relevance, accuracy, and brand consistency for both pro and consumer audiences
Drive in-salon education programming focused on enhancing stylist understanding and expertise as well as product loyalty, including advanced techniques, product knowledge application, and client consultation skills
Ensure that in-salon education is driving sales growth and delivering a strong ROI
Develop and roll out specialized certification programs, such as scalp care expertise and advanced textured hair cutting techniques (Mizani), to establish our brands as leaders in these critical areas
Lead, mentor, and inspire a small, high-performing education team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for education initiatives, regularly analyze impact, and continuously refine strategies based on data-driven insights
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and other internal teams to ensure educational programs are fully integrated, support brand launches, and meet market demands
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to travel, which may be significant at certain times of the year (40%)
Position is based in NY Office at Hudson Yards
Proven ability to develop and articulate a clear, compelling educational vision and strategy that drives business results
Deep understanding and hands-on experience in developing, launching, and scaling digital learning platforms and content (e.g., social media, LMS, e-learning modules, virtual events, live streaming)
A strong track record of re-inventing and innovating educational delivery methods, particularly in resource-constrained environments
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small, highly impactful team
A passion for beauty and the ability to quickly grasp and translate brand ethos and product benefits into compelling educational narratives. Experience with professional hair care and the texture haircare consumer is a significant plus
Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously from concept to execution. Experience managing a budget
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to analyze educational program effectiveness, derive insights from data, and use them to inform future strategies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies quickly in response to market changes or new opportunities
Familiarity with modern educational technologies and a willingness to explore and implement new tools to further brand goals and educational reach
